Congratulations on winning the Creative Art Competition!

We were delighted to finally meet up with our partner school Greaghrahan NS. We walked around Garadice, followed by a picnic at our school.

A huge congratulations to two of our pupils who travelled to Sligo to compete in Athletics. Congratulations to both on their achievements in Speed Walking, 600m and relay. !

Pupils have finished the Music Generation programme and are delighted with the progress they have made in both the ukulele (seniors) and rhythm and vocal coaching(juniors). We are also delighted to have another facilitator from Music Generation for 4 weeks to introduce children to the Bodhrán.  

As part of the Digital Divide ICT grant, we purchased Beebots. Pupils are having great fun with the Beebots as they begin to learn the process of coding.  

We were delighted to welcome back Paul from Dog’s Trust. Paul visited both classrooms with his dog Buster. Paul told the children about the amazing work Dog’s Trust do for the dogs in Ireland. The student council hosted a very successful Easter Tea Party in aid of Pieta House as part of the Amber Flag Initiative. Parents and family members were invited to Newtowngore Hall. We were delighted to welcome Mud Bugs to our school. Children explored their natural environment and collected materials to make their very own insect. Some very creative insects were invented! We also talked about what we can do in our environment and made eco warrior crowns! Thank you Mud Bugs!
