The junior room visited Killinkere Pet Farm for their tour this year. Children had so much fun feeding the animals, riding a pony, playing in the sand and playground and holding some of the animals. We were delighted to receive recognition for all the activities we organised to improve the Well-Being of our School Community. Many thanks to Mrs O’Neill Chambers, Well-Being Co-ordinator for improving the Well-Being in Newtowngore NS. The present student council had the honour of raising the Amber Flag received from Pieta House.
Pupils had to use their thinking caps when it came to this workshop. Maynooth University Ambassadors visited our school and put the pupils through their paces trying to figure out maths problems.
Newtowngore NS and Drumeela NS joined up both schools and had a fun day with all the pupils. Pupils had a fantastic day and enjoyed all the different races and games especially the water balloon game! Pupils enjoyed tasty treats afterwards and look forward to doing it again!
Children travelled to the Island Theatre in Ballinamore to celebrate a Music Generation Picnic. Pupils were entertained with an amazing ukulele trio. Pupils then joined in with the other schools and performed with their ukuleles.
