Friendship Week

By | 10 February 2023

The student council organised activities for the school to celebrate Friendship Week. As part of homework pupils did random acts of kindness for their families.

Day 1- Collaborative Art

Pupils worked in small groups with pupils from different classes. Each group were given the task to design, draw and paint a symbol of friendship onto one of the windows in the school. Pupils worked really well and were so proud of their finished window! The teachers were so impressed too!

Day 2- Co-operative Games

5th and 6th arranged a variety of P.E. Stations for Day 2 of Friendship Week. Pupils got a chance to visit each station in pairs. We had an obstacle course station, long jump station, darts, table tennis, penalty shot-out, dance and badminton stations. Senior pupils were so patient teaching the younger pupils the skills required. Well Done!

Day 3- Buddy Reading

Each Senior pupil chose a pupil from the Junior Room. Seniors read their chosen story and the Juniors then practiced their reading with the Seniors. Everyone did a fantastic job!

Day 4- Board Games

The student council decided it would be a good idea to allow pupils to play board games that the school recently purchased. Pupils had great fun playing lots of different board games!

Day 5- Ice-cream Party

Friendship Week ended with a treat from Murphy’s Shop. Pupils devoured their scrumptious ice-cream to celebrate the end of Friendship Week!
